Co-Curricular

At ACS, we believe that learning extends beyond the classroom. Our co-curricular activities offer students a dynamic range of experiences that foster creativity, physical well-being, intellectual growth, and social connections. These activities are designed to complement the academic curriculum, helping students develop essential skills while having fun.

Schedule

Co-curricular activities are free of charge and take place every Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 1:30 – 2:30 PM. During this time, students will participate in a rotating carousel of experiences, cycling through different domains or “pillars” to ensure a well-rounded exposure to various disciplines.

The Eight Pillars of Co-Curricular Activities

  1. Well-being: Fostering emotional and physical wellness through activities that promote mindfulness, friendship, and relaxation.
    Example: Yoga, Meditation, Mindfulness, Making new friends
  2. Creative: Encouraging self-expression and artistic exploration through hands-on activities.
    Example: Origami, Play Dough, Arts & Crafts, Learn to Play Music, Lego, Handcraft
  3. Intellectual Enrichment: Strengthening academic skills and deepening knowledge in core subject areas.
    Example: Brain games, Speeling Bee, Languages, Mathletes, Science Fair Projects
  4. Sport & Physical Activity: Enhancing physical fitness and teamwork through various sports and movement-based activities.
    Example: Multi Sports, Run Club, International Sports, Games for all
  5. Service Learning: Developing a sense of responsibility and community service.
    Example: Green Club, Global Citizenships, School Service
  6. Culture & Community: Celebrating diversity and fostering cultural understanding.
    Example: MUN, Culture of Countries, Qatar through new eyes, Arabic
  7. Digital: Introducing students to the digital world and fostering tech-savvy skills.
    Example: Robotics, Coding, Media Club, Graphic Design
  8. Entrepreneurship: Cultivating innovation and leadership through business-focused projects.
    Example: Dragon’s Den, Ready to Launch

Artemex Academies (Paid Activities)

Beyond 2:30 PM and on Tuesdays, we offer additional paid enrichment activities through our Artemex Academies. These sessions are available for QAR 80 per class and cover a wide range of specialized programs,including Super Minis, Football, Gymnastics, Italian, Karate, Swimming and so much more.

Italian Program

Discover Italian at ACS Doha! Whether your child is new to Italian or wants to deepen their connection with their mother tongue, our Italian classes for children ages 6-15 offer the perfect opportunity. Taught by native speakers, these fun and engaging lessons are designed to boost language skills and cultural understanding. Classes include: Beginner Italian, Mother Tongue Classes, Conversation Classes, and B1 Citizenship (for 18+).
