The High School curriculum at ACS Doha aims to equip our students with the intellectual and interpersonal skills to succeed in both their academic and professional careers.

International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme

IB Careers-related Programme

If chosen, students will be required to study six courses
Three courses at higher level and three courses at standard level
Choices are from studies in language and literature, language acquisition, individuals and societies, experimental sciences, mathematics, the arts or an alternate elective course

Specifically developed for students who wish to engage in career-related learning while gaining transferable and lifelong skills in applied knowledge, critical thinking, communication, and cross-cultural engagement
Prepares students for an ever-changing world of work
Students who choose the IBCP will study two IB diploma courses and career-related studies.

Advanced Placement Courses

US High School Diploma Courses

Students learn essential time management and study skills needed for college and career success and will specialise and focus on subjects that interest them
Students who choose to take AP courses can do so alongside regular High School Diploma courses and IB courses
AP is recognised as being equivalent to DP Standard Level courses and requires a lower level of commitment than the full DP

ACS Doha Pathways

ACS Doha Pathways offers access to a wide range of educational experiences for students of all ages.

We work with a dynamic network of businesses, universities, cultural institutions and government ministries in Doha and beyond. These connections will help provide the knowledge, expertise and experience our students need to learn beyond the classroom and pursue their passions.

The pathways cover a range of subject areas, allowing students to tailor their educational experience to their interests and their chosen career path. These include entrepreneurship, communications, international relations, art & design and engineering.

ACS Doha has also partnered with Paragon One to deliver an Externships Programme. These programmes allow students to undertake remote internships, or ‘externships’ with these industry-leading companies, working on real projects.

Language Acquisition

At ACS Doha, all students are offered the choice to study French, Spanish or Arabic.

When students reach High School at ACS Doha, the Language Acquisition programme offers a variety of pathways:

The Diploma Programme (DP)
Language B Programme
High School Languages Programme

All of these programmes are connected to the students’ future academic or professional interests.
