ACS Doha Opens New Student Support Hub

ACS International School Doha has opened a new Student Support Hub, a dedicated space that brings together specialist expertise to support every learner’s academic, social, emotional and developmental needs. The Hub reflects the school’s belief that students flourish when these needs are considered together, not separately. By housing a multidisciplinary team in one collaborative environment, ACS Doha is making specialist support more connected, accessible and responsive for students and their families.

The team includes learning support teachers, language acquisition teachers, an occupational therapist, counsellors and support assistants. Working alongside classroom teachers and families, they can share expertise, coordinate support and build approaches adapted to individual students, rather than working in isolation.

Dr Robert Jackson, Head of School at ACS Doha, stated that the Hub represents a significant advancement in the school’s support for its community. “Every student who walks through our doors deserves to be known, understood and given what they need to flourish, not just academically, but as a whole person,” said Dr Jackson. “This Hub is a physical expression of that commitment. It means our specialists are working together, in real time, around each child, rather than in separate corners of the school. That’s what a modern, caring education should look like.”

Mr Benjamin Burgess, Director of Student Support Services at ACS Doha, emphasized that the Hub enables staff to address the comprehensive needs of students by uniting a team of dedicated professionals within a single space. “We’re delighted to be able to work with families to make sure that every one of our learners has the ability to thrive,” said Mr Burgess.

The Hub represents a significant investment in fostering an inclusive school community, where each pupil is recognized, supported, and empowered to succeed. For ACS Doha, this development signals a broader transformation in which student wellbeing is central to the school’s strategic planning. ACS Doha is part of Artemis Education, which operates two other schools in Doha, including Northview International School and Queen’s International School Qatar.

Admissions are currently open for families seeking a high-quality international education in Qatar. Families interested in ACS Doha, including its expanded student support services, can contact the Admissions Team at admissions@acsdoha.school
